ERE-certificaten
Earn money every time you charge your electric vehicle
Since 1 January 2026, home charging of electric vehicles qualifies for an ERE compensation. Every quarter, Zeres registers your charging energy (kWh) with the Dutch Emissions Authority (NEa). These kWh are converted into Emission Reduction Units (ERE) which we sell on the emissions market. We pay you the proceeds minus our commission.

How it works
From charge to payout
You charge at home
You charge your EV at home as always. Your charger measures exactly how much energy goes into the car - for every charging session. That's how simple it starts.
We register with the NEa
Zeres collects your charging data and converts it to Emission Reduction Units (EREs). We register them with the Dutch Emissions Authority on your behalf.
The market buys your EREs
Fuel suppliers must offset the CO₂ emissions of their fossil fuel. They do so by buying your EREs on the emissions market.
You receive a payout
Every quarter we transfer the proceeds to your account. No hassle, no obligations - just money for something you were already doing.
Why Zeres
The Netherlands' largest ERE registrar
Zero hassle
You charge, we take care of the rest. We book your charging flow with the NEa and sell your EREs on the emissions market, directly to oil companies with large volumes: the highest return. We comply with the NEa's strict compliance rules. Zeres is the only booking service provider that paid out in 2026.
Paid every quarter, after compliance checks
No subscription, no costs. We take a commission on actual sales - you receive 81% each quarter in your account. € 0,13 per kWh
16 years of experience
Zeres emerged from a team with 15 years of experience in the energy transition. Already 19,000+ customers and personal helpdesk. Zeres works with an audited third-party account and has its own Compliance Officer. Compliance is at the heart of Zeres' operations.

You can provide the volumes manually via WhatsApp, email, portal or our App. Or automatically.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Closing Q2 2026 collecting volumes
The report will be available in your portal from July 21. In it, you can see the volume of charging current that we will be booking with the NEa. This booking will take place starting at the end of August, as soon as the NEa opens the register. We will be conducting compliance checks until the end of July. In your portal, you can see whether your application has been declared compliant or not: if this is not the case, you must check the data in your portal and complete it if necessary.
Payment ERE's Q1 2026
The NEa has not yet opened the Energy Transport Register (REV). As a result, booking service providers are currently unable to make bookings. However, we have already sold the EREs for the first quarter on the emissions market: with a high yield due to our large volumes and a payout of €0.12 per kWh. We will pay out our customers as soon as the register is opened.
Where do I see the status of my ERE's?
You can find the progress of your quarterly charged kWhs recorded with the NEa and EREs in the portal under the Reports tab.
What do I need to qualify for an ERE payout?
Regulator NEa carries out strict checks and has tightened the requirements. It is therefore important that everything is entered correctly in the portal: The applicant must be the same person as the owner of the electricity grid connection (EAN) at your home address (the name on the energy bill) and the bank account holder (and/or account is also acceptable). This also applies to self-employed individuals. Your charging station must be equipped with an integrated MID-certified kWh meter. You grant Zeres the mandate for booking and trading.
